Great video Cat. Thanks for sharing. Will be doing Paris as my 1st marathon too in Paris in April 25. Great tips. Giving myself 7 months to build as a 50 year old. Merci! Dai
I'm glad to see that it is possible to train for a marathon as a beginner in 5 months. It's also nice to know it's normal to have bad runs and good ones
Very nice presentation of your marathon experience; thank you Cat. You gave good, no nonsense advice. A great success, congratulations. Pride, performance, looks, gear : Marathon just laughs at this. You are a member of the family now. Happy to see that you do other runs and all. This is just the beginning. Thanks also for the positivity and down-to-earth atmosphere.
Congratulations & great video. Paris was also my first marathon, but way back in 2015 at the age of 45 (& a terrible time). Did you notice the thin blue line which marks the shortest route? I then went on to run the Rome Marathon in 2017 which is also amazing. Good luck with your running journey.
Thank you so much for your kind words! No I didn’t notice the thin blue line…maybe I need to run Paris again! Rome sounds like an incredible place to also run a race.

Hahaha no way I actually got inspired by Nesta Archeron in ACOSF. What you did is really inspiring and admirable. You should def be proud of yourself

Comparing yourself during the race is the worst
Agreed!! Perhaps one of the biggest lessons I learned (and will try not to do next time!)
